Pol Glineur

Pol GLINEUR specialises principally in tax law, both counselling and representation: administrative and judicial proceedings.A member of the Brussels Bar since 1976, he also deals in tax proceedings before the Court of Cassation, the Supreme Administrative Court and the Constitutional Court.After graduating in law at the Free University of Brussels (ULB) in 1976, he received the prestigious "René Marcq" award. He has taught at the Free University of Brussels since 1983 and now he also teaches at the University of Mons-Hainaut. Since 2001, he is a deputy counsellor at the Brussels Court of Appeal.He is the author of many publications, both in private and in tax law. His preferred areas of expertise are numerous:- Taxation of insurance companies and pension funds;- Accounting and prudential standards and specific supervision of the insurance sector;- Legal and tax audits, restructuring and acquisitions in the insurance sector;- Studies and editorial products offered especially in the branches "life" and reinsurance, etc..Pol Glineur is recognised as a leader in his field where he achieved remarkable success.  However, he retains an insatiable curiosity for legal science in general. He is the author of one of the first Belgian monographs devoted to the law of computing, a multidisciplinary subject which he still teaches at the University of Mons-Hainaut, as well as civil law studies on a wide diversity of subjects ranging from the implied renewal of contrasts to the dismembering of property rights.
